About us

Liberty training was founded in 2004 by Mark Thomson, and has grown to offer a range of Health and Safety training courses: first aid, lifesaving, manual handling, customer care and teaching of swimming to all ages. All trainers gained their first hand experiences from working previously in the Leisure Industry and Emergency Services, and then for large national training companies.

All courses are approved or Certificated by their individual governing bodies: HSE (Health and Safety Executive), RLSS (Royal Lifesaving Society), STA (Safety Training Awards) The ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) and the SLSA (Surf Lifesaving Association). Where we are heading

The Company is now expanding with our new premises at the East Sussex National Golf club and Spa. This enable us to run an extensive range of open access courses for individuals or smaller companies to enrol on, please click on courses available, or just call to be kept up-to-date on future courses. The company has taken on new trainers and business associates, Kirk Lee (Liberty Training) and Gloria Thomson (Liberty Swim School). Together we will expand the company to offer courses to educational facilities and Sussex businesses, which is also available in-house, at affordable costs. Whilst also developing the now established Liberty Swim school at St Leonards Mayfield School, teaching ages 2yrs - 14yrs.
