STA Lifeguarding COurses

The STA is recognised by the Health & Safety Executive as a provider of training for lifesavers and swimming teachers. The STA is recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as an awarding body and the NARS PL, PA and PH are approved by QCA as level 3 qualifications.

The NaRS Pool Attendant (PA) course is aimed for members of staff from any industry that has a Swimming pool within their facilty but no statuary requirement for a lifeguard.

NaRS Pool Lifeguard (PL) course is aimed for anyone wanting to become a lifeguard within a facility with a pool over 20m in length or where the company's risk assessment require the full qualification of a lifeguard.

NaRS Poolside Helper (PH) course is aimed for swimming teachers, school teachers or holiday club staff where they are directing / overseeing people within a water environment but don't have sole responsibility for the safety of the swimmer.
